Soldiers' bill : manuscript, 21 April 1838.

Bill from Pierre Laporte (not likely in his hand), dated 21 April 1838, to William Wilson for the use of soldiers, drummer, and drum sergeant at three performances at Her Majesty's Theatre in April 1838. The contract is signed by Wilson and Michael Costa, musical director of the Theatre.

Opened on April 9, 1705 in the Haymarket as the Queen's Theatre in honor of Queen Anne, the theater went through various name changes (King's Theatre) with the changing of monarchs.
